About this programme

Working capital assistance scheme for MSME wholesalers and retailers to purchase materials, goods, and services against bank guarantee security. NSIC arranges bulk materials (aluminium, zinc, copper, iron & steel, cement) through its manufacturing partnerships and extends working capital finance. Helps Udyam-registered traders meet purchase obligations without requiring conventional collateral, facilitating access to bulk commodities at negotiated rates. It is run by NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation).

A credit guarantee helps you borrow by covering part of the lender’s risk, so eligible businesses can access loans they might not get otherwise. The amount and form of support that actually apply to you depend on the programme’s rules and how your application is assessed — they are not fixed for every applicant.

It is aimed at businesses in wholesale & retail trade (msme). Like most government programmes, it has its own eligibility conditions, documentation and application window, and these terms are revised from time to time. Because of that, it is worth confirming the current eligibility, amount and deadline on the official programme page before you invest time in applying.

How it works

MSME selects suppliers from GST-registered manufacturers. NSIC facilitates bank guarantee arrangements. Suppliers are verified, and NSIC arranges working capital through a bank guarantee mechanism. Payment is released directly by NSIC to the selected suppliers against the bank guarantee, enabling the MSME trader to access bulk materials without direct capital outlay.
