Overview

Companies and LLPs must file an income-tax return every year regardless of profit or loss, and founders and professionals have their own filing obligations. A correct return means computing taxable income properly, claiming the deductions and set-offs you’re entitled to, reconciling the tax already deducted or paid (as reflected in your Form 26AS and AIS), and filing the right form before the due date.

CapEasy prepares your return from your financial statements and tax records, computes income and tax under the applicable heads, claims eligible deductions, reconciles TDS and advance tax, and files the correct ITR form. Where a tax audit applies, we flag it early so the audit and return timelines are met together.

CapEasy is a private consultancy and not a government authority. Your tax liability depends on your own financials and the Income-tax Act as it applies to you; we make sure the return is accurate, complete and filed on time.

Frequently asked

Income Tax Filing (ITR) — questions founders ask

It depends on your entity type and income sources — companies, LLPs, and individuals with business income each file different forms. We determine and file the correct one for you.

Yes — companies and LLPs must file every year regardless of profit or loss, and filing on time also preserves the ability to carry forward losses. We file even in loss or dormant years.

A tax audit is triggered by turnover or specific conditions under the Income-tax Act. We assess whether it applies and, if so, coordinate the audit so it and the return are completed within their deadlines.

A belated return is possible within the limits set by law, though it can carry late fees, interest, and loss of certain benefits. Filing on time is always preferable; if you’re late, we help you file correctly and minimise the impact.

If your TDS and advance tax exceed your final liability, the excess is refundable once the return is processed. We make sure credits are correctly claimed and reconciled so a legitimate refund isn’t held up.
