About this programme
FITT's Incubation Grant is a direct financial assistance program for early-stage startups refining business ideas, building prototypes, or testing market potential. Grants range from ₹4 lakh to ₹1 crore based on team goals, fund availability, and detailed fund-utilization plans aligned to startup objectives. The program is designed for startups at the proof-of-concept and prototype-development stage. It is run by Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi.
A grant is financial support you don’t repay — awarded against eligibility and, usually, agreed milestones or utilisation of funds. The amount and form of support that actually apply to you depend on the programme’s rules and how your application is assessed — they are not fixed for every applicant.
It is aimed at businesses in deep-tech / technology-based startups. Like most government programmes, it has its own eligibility conditions, documentation and application window, and these terms are revised from time to time. Because of that, it is worth confirming the current eligibility, amount and deadline on the official programme page before you invest time in applying.
How it works
Startups submit detailed proposals with fund-utilization plans aligned to team milestones. FITT evaluates applications based on team quality, business concept viability, and planned fund usage.
