What the extension reads

• Your pack. The drafted answers, the form definition and the field map for the programme you are applying to. The extension fetches this from capeasy.in (or the Grant Studio address you typed into the side panel) when you press “Load pack”.
• The form on your current tab. When you press “Scan this page”, the extension reads the labels, help text, length limits and choices of the form fields on the portal page you are on. It does not read what you have typed into those fields.

What the extension writes

When you press “Paste next field” or “Fill all I can”, it writes your drafted answers into the portal's text boxes, selects and table rows, one at a time, so you can read each one.

What the extension never does

• It never reads, focuses or fills a password field and never fills a one-time-code (OTP) box.
• It never presses Submit, Pay, Final or any other button. You submit.
• It never touches a file-upload control.
• It never stores your portal login or any portal data.

Data stored in your browser

The extension keeps three values in chrome.storage.local: the Grant Studio address you used, the practice sample id, and whether you have seen the three-step tour. Nothing else is stored. Removing the extension deletes all three.

Data sent anywhere

The only network request the extension makes is the pack fetch described above. It is sent to the Grant Studio address you chose (capeasy.in) with your own CapEasy sign-in cookie, so Grant Studio can return your draft and nobody else's. No cookie or data goes to any other site. Portal page content, field values and your answers are never sent by the extension to CapEasy or anyone else.

What we do not do

We do not sell or share data from the extension, do not use it for advertising or analytics, do not use it to judge creditworthiness or for lending, and do not load or run remote code.

Permissions

The extension asks for activeTab, scripting, storage and sidePanel, and for access to the grant portals it works on (Startup Odisha, StartupTN, BIRAC, Accubate-hosted incubator forms) and to capeasy.in. Each is used only for the purposes above.

Your choices and contact

You can remove the extension at any time from your browser's extensions page. For questions about this policy, or about data you gave Grant Studio, write to hello@capeasy.in.

Changes

If the extension starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the “last updated” date before the new version is published.
