About this programme
IIPME is a collaborative funding programme between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and BIRAC to support Indian-led pilot projects in medical electronics, devices, healthcare software and IT. It funds three stages: Seed Grants (up to Rs 50 lakh for 18 months for early-stage bold ideas needing no preliminary data), Early Transition (a mix of grant and loan up to INR 100 lakh over 24 months for projects with proof of concept), and Transition to Scale (grant and loan mix over 24-36 months, project cost matched equally by government and industry, for validated technologies ready to scale). It is run by BIRAC / MeitY.
