About this programme
PACE supports academia in India to develop a proof-of-concept for a biotech process or product, with an optional industry partner, through two components: Academic Innovation Research (AIR) for PoC development, and the Contract Research Scheme (CRS) for validating an established PoC in collaboration with an industrial partner. Funding is a non-repayable grant covering research and validation costs, aimed at moving technology closer to commercial/industry readiness. It is run by BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council).
