About this programme
SCIDIP is a grant-based incubation programme in partnership between Sona Comstar and IIT Delhi, focused on electric mobility, clean mobility, and vehicle technologies. Selected startups receive up to ₹80 lakh in grant-in-aid disbursed in milestone-based tranches over 24 months. The programme includes incubation space, mentorship from IIT Delhi faculty, and access to the institute's technical and business expertise. It is run by AIC IIT Delhi (Atal Incubation Centre - IIT Delhi Sonipat Innovation Foundation).

How it works
FITT (Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer) at IIT Delhi administers the programme. Startups submit detailed project proposals evaluated by a technical committee and techno-commercial panel. Upon approval, the startup enters a 24-month incubation agreement. Grant is disbursed in tranches: up to 30% upon agreement, ~20% per major milestone, and ~5% as expense reimbursement. Incubation includes technical mentorship, business guidance, IP support, and investor/VC network access.
Who can apply
Private Limited company registered under Indian Companies Act 2013, incorporated within past 5 years, majority (>51%) owned/controlled by resident Indian citizens, project leader must be an Indian citizen with postgraduate qualification in sciences or engineering, concept must have IP potential and strong commercial/translational prospects in smart/clean/safe mobility domains.
