About this programme

RICH offers scaleup support designed for international MedTech startups seeking to enter the Indian market. The programme provides structured assistance across three key areas: market research and validation (introductions to healthcare stakeholders, primary research facilitation), regulatory compliance (needs assessment and guidance through India's medical device regulatory processes), and manufacturing support (connections to manufacturing facilities and R&D centres). Startups at different development stages can benefit from tailored guidance and ecosystem connections. It is run by Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH).

A grant is financial support you don’t repay — awarded against eligibility and, usually, agreed milestones or utilisation of funds. The amount and form of support that actually apply to you depend on the programme’s rules and how your application is assessed — they are not fixed for every applicant.

It is aimed at businesses in medtech · healthtech. Like most government programmes, it has its own eligibility conditions, documentation and application window, and these terms are revised from time to time. Because of that, it is worth confirming the current eligibility, amount and deadline on the official programme page before you invest time in applying.

How it works

RICH provides non-financial support through three streams: market research facilitation via introductions to healthcare stakeholders (hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres); regulatory compliance guidance through needs assessment and connections to support regulatory navigation; and manufacturing support through introductions to established manufacturing facilities. Each stream is tailored to startups at different development stages seeking to establish presence in India.
