About this programme
SPEED provides streamlined machinery and equipment financing to MSMEs through a rationalized appraisal framework. It covers OEM machinery purchases for manufacturing equipment, with expedited processing and simplified documentation. The scheme encompasses equipment financing for both new and existing SIDBI customers.
This is credit — repayable finance, usually on more concessional terms than a regular commercial loan. The amount and form of support that actually apply to you depend on the programme’s rules and how your application is assessed — they are not fixed for every applicant.
It is aimed at businesses in msme machinery and equipment purchase. Like most government programmes, it has its own eligibility conditions, documentation and application window, and these terms are revised from time to time. Because of that, it is worth confirming the current eligibility, amount and deadline on the official programme page before you invest time in applying.
How it works
MSME identifies machinery requirement and obtains OEM quotations. Application is submitted to SIDBI with financial documentation. Appraisal is conducted using simplified framework. Upon approval, SIDBI disburses funds directly to OEM or to applicant for equipment purchase. Repayment begins post-disbursement with tenure up to 7 years.
