About this programme
The Sustainable Biomaterial-Based Solutions Accelerator is a strategic partnership between AIC-JKLU and JK Paper supporting Indian and international startups developing lignocellulosic biomass-based or pulp/paper-industry-derived value-added bio-based products as substitutes for fossil-derived materials. The program mentors and supports startups to address two core problem statements: developing lignocellulosic biomass-based products for healthcare, pharma, textile, biomaterials, packaging, and energy sectors; and creating value-added bio-based products from pulp and paper manufacturing waste streams. Selected startups receive mentoring, networking, and potential pathways to investment or acquisition from JK Organisation. It is run by AIC-JKLU (Atal Incubation Centre - JK Lakshmipat University).
The support is delivered through the programme’s own structure, and the form it takes is set by the issuing authority. The amount and form of support that actually apply to you depend on the programme’s rules and how your application is assessed — they are not fixed for every applicant.

How it works
Startups apply through the AIC-JKLU programme with problem statement-specific proposals. Selected cohorts receive hands-on mentoring from AIC-JKLU's network of 45+ expert mentors and access to 33+ state-of-the-art labs in design, engineering, and computing. The program provides structured support to develop and validate prototypes, with successful innovations positioned for investment or acquisition within the JK Organisation ecosystem.

How to apply
- Submit application addressing one of the two problem statements on the AIC-JKLU website
- Selection committee reviews startup idea, team, and innovation potential
- Selected startups enter the acceleration program with defined milestones
- Complete program with prototype/solution demonstrating market readiness
